Terms of use

Last updated 7 October 2026

In short

  • RepCup is free for 7 days. After that, counting and leagues need Pro, billed by Apple.
  • Only reps counted live by the camera go on a table. Don't cheat.
  • Keep names, photos, league names and stakes decent. We remove what isn't.
  • Stakes are between you and your friends. RepCup never handles money.
  • Exercise at your own pace. RepCup is not medical advice.

These terms apply when you use RepCup, the iPhone app, and this website. "RepCup", "we" and "us" mean the developer of RepCup, established in Lithuania and shown as the seller on RepCup's App Store page. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

RepCup is an iPhone app. There is no web version: this website only describes the app, shows league invites and links to the App Store.

1. Your health comes first

Pushups, squats and sit-ups are physical exercise. Do them at your own risk and within your limits. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. If you have a medical condition, an injury, or are pregnant, ask a doctor before you start.

RepCup counts reps. It does not give medical, health or training advice, and its counts, targets, streaks and achievements are not a judgement of your health or fitness.

Put the phone somewhere stable and out of your way before a set, and make sure the space around you is clear.

2. How counting works

The camera picture is read on your iPhone to find your joints, and only full reps count. Counting is done by software, and it can get a rep wrong: miss one, count one, or refuse one that looked fine to you. We work to make it accurate but we don't promise that every count is exact, and a count is not a measurement to rely on for any medical, professional or competitive purpose outside the app.

3. Your account

You don't need an account to count, earn achievements or keep a streak. You sign in with Apple when you create or join a league, or to appear on the weekly leaderboard. One account is for one person. Keep your device and Apple ID to yourself; what happens on your account is your responsibility.

Counting without an account has no age limit. To sign in you must be 13 or older, or older where the law of your country requires it. If you are under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app: Me → Settings → Delete my data.

4. The free week and Pro

  • Days 1 to 7 are free. Everything in the app works, with nothing to buy. Day 1 is the day you first open RepCup; the free week ends at the midnight that ends day 7, in your phone's time zone.
  • From day 8, Pro is needed to start a set, or to create or join a league. Without Pro the app is read-only: your history, achievements and standings stay visible, and your score stays on league tables, frozen and marked "benched".
  • Price. Pro costs $3.49 a month or $24.99 a year in the US. Prices in other countries are set in the local currency and shown in the app before you buy. There are no tiers: Pro is the whole app.
  • Billing. Apple bills Pro to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it on your iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro lasts until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
  • Price changes are announced in advance, as Apple's rules require, and never apply to a period you have already paid for.
  • Pro never changes a count, a score or a standing.

5. Leagues, the leaderboard and fair play

Reps go on a league table or the weekly leaderboard only when they are counted live by the camera. There is no manual entry. Please play fair. Don't:

  • show the camera a video, a photo or anyone else doing the reps for you;
  • change, decompile or interfere with the app or its data, or send us data that didn't come from a real set;
  • use bots, scripts or several accounts to gain places.

If we have good reason to think a set or a score wasn't earned honestly, we may remove it, take the account off tables, or suspend the account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think we got it wrong.

The weekly leaderboard puts you in a group with other people. They see your display name, your avatar from the app's built-in set and your weekly totals; never a photo. League members see your display name, your avatar and your numbers. Leagues and the leaderboard are for fun: there are no prizes.

6. Stakes

A league can have a stakes line, such as "Loser buys lunch". It is free text and nothing more. RepCup never takes, holds or pays out money or anything else between users, and isn't part of any arrangement you make. Settling stakes is up to the people in the league. Don't use stakes for gambling, for anything unlawful, or to pressure anyone.

7. What you post

What you add in RepCup is your display name, an avatar photo if you choose one, and, when you create a league, its name and stakes line. You keep the rights to it. You allow us to store it and show it to the people the app shows it to (your league members, and for your display name, your weekly leaderboard group), only to run RepCup, for as long as it stays in the app.

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post anything that:

  • is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, violent or otherwise offensive;
  • pretends to be someone else, or shows another person without their permission;
  • shares someone's private information;
  • infringes someone else's rights, or is advertising or spam;
  • breaks the law.

Every member of a league can be reported or blocked in the app. We review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content, remove people from leagues, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. A league's creator can also remove members from it.

8. The app itself

Your licence to use the app comes from Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, with RepCup as the licensor; these terms add the rules of the service. RepCup is for your personal, non-commercial use. Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer it, scrape it, or attack or overload its servers. The RepCup name, logo, art and app are ours.

9. Changes and availability

We keep improving RepCup, so features can change. The app and its leagues may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. If we ever close RepCup, we'll say so in the app well in advance.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. The date at the top always shows the current version. If you keep using RepCup after a change applies, the new terms apply to you.

10. Ending

You can stop using RepCup at any time and delete your account in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it with Apple as described above. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where we can, we'll tell you why.

11. Responsibility

We provide RepCup as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably foresee, for indirect losses, or for what other users post or agree among themselves, including stakes.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights that consumer law gives you, and nothing here takes them away.

12. Law and disputes

If something goes wrong, write to us first; most problems are quickly fixed. These terms are governed by the law of Lithuania. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country with mandatory consumer protection, you also keep the protection of the law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: [email protected]. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
